Earlier this year, I got probably the coolest cake request ever! My customer said she was throwing a party for her son- it was to be a birthday party and a Baptism as well. They were expecting 150 guests, and she wanted a 5 tier Super Hero cake. She e-mailed me this picture and specified that she didn't want the Robin or the Aqua-man tier:

As we all know, entering a new decade is a big deal, and 30s are no exception! Some of us love the thought of turning 30, the rest of us hate it! My customer was one of the ones who wasn't really looking forward to it, and she e-mailed me with a very funny request!
My customer informed me that she HATES bees, and since she had been running away from her 30s she thought it'd be funny to have a cake with 30 bees on it "chasing" her 30s! I loved the idea!!! This wasn't the first time I designed
A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail from a previous client asking if I could please bake a Dr.Seuss cake for her friend's party? The request had a funny timing in my personal life, because I had just spent some time teasing a good friend of mine for not knowing who Dr.Seuss was! I have to say, that this is my favorite Shakar Bakery cake to date! This cake challenged me in so many ways, and really put engineering skills to the test! This cake was commissioned for a 50th anniversary party.
